Description
Rare document grouping to Leutnant Johann Franz. Franz was born on 26.5.1919 and volunteered to the RAD and Wehrmacht but was rejected in 1938. He joined the Wehrmacht later as a Gefreiter and made it up to an highly decorated Leutnant before his was captured by the English on 11.11.1942. He was freed shortly after and carried on with his service. He destroyed a Russian T34 on 22.7.1944 and was awarded the Tank Destruction Badge.
 
Field issued certificate to the Iron Cross 1st Class. 24.8.1944 issued by "68.Division IIa" to Leutnant Franz serving with III.Gren.Rgt.1070.
A proper certificate to the Iron Cross 1st Class issued on day same day. Signed by the commander of 68.Infanterie-Division. Certificate to the Iron Cross 2nd Class. Issued on 27.101.41. Signed by the division commander. 
 
Certificate to the Wound Badge in black. Gren.Rgt.1070. August 1944 issued. Certificate to the Infantry Assault Badge. August 1941. Serving with Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 137.
 
A "Vorläufiges Besitzzeugnis" for the Tank Destruction Badge for destroying the T34 on 22.7.1944. Singed by the regiment commander of Gren.Rgt.1070.
 
Two handwritten documents confirming that Leutnant Franz destroyed a Russian T34 tank with his Panzerfaust. Both were written by himself. One signed by him and one signed by Gefr. Renn and Gefr. Mühlheimer. 
 
A list of his 4 days of close combat. Signed by the bataillon commander.
 
Various other period time and postwar documents.
