Rare document grouping to Leutnant Johann Franz. Franz was born on 26.5.1919 and volunteered to the RAD and Wehrmacht but was rejected in 1938. He joined the Wehrmacht later as a Gefreiter and made it up to an highly decorated Leutnant before his was captured by the English on 11.11.1942. He was freed shortly after and carried on with his service. He destroyed a Russian T34 on 22.7.1944 and was awarded the Tank Destruction Badge.
