Description
Here Gebirgsjäger officers'-pattern - and Norwegian-produced! - M43-type field-cap (ie. 'Einheitsfeldmütze für Offiziere').

The piece is executed in (typical) field-grey-coloured wool and shows a greyish-coloured- (and 'silk-like'-type) lining (that shows some minimal wear and slight fading). The cap shows a clear makers'-designation stamped within the lining that reads: 'Hordes - Oslo' and also shows a period-attached name-tag from the period-bearer, a certain: 'J. Spring'.

The cap comes with an early-period, 'trapezoid-shaped'- and nicely 'BeVo'-woven eagle/cocarde-device (period attached by means of hand-stitching). Next to this, it shows a metal-based 'Edelweiss'-insignia attached to its left-side.

The cap shows a leather-based- and brown-coloured sweat-band installed and has two silver-grey-coloured (and metal-based) closing-buttons in place.

The side-cap comes in an overall nice condition but does show moderate age, staining and/or wear. It is approximately 57/58 cms. and will with certainty fit a mannequins'-head.

Simply a very nice example of a locally-produced M43 officers'-pattern field-cap!
