Interesting M40 single decal helmet with a rare light green camo paint period time added. This helmet could have been worn in France or Italy from 1943. The original blue-grey factory paint is still underneath. The green camo paint still covers about 80% of the shell.
The Luftwaffe eagle decal is covered by camo paint. You can see a few bits coming out.
Original attached leather liner with original cord. Size 57 stamped. Soft leather chin strap which is maker marked. The stamp is very hard to make out.
Shell Q64 marked.
Good condition 2 however a crack to the front side of the helmet.
Rare.
