Typical double-sided construction from ripped white silk. Large size Heer eagle hand-stiched to the center. Claws and beak from metal wire. Impressive three-dimentional design of the claws which hold a swastika.  The eagle is surrounded by hand-stiched oak leaf and oaks. Twisted wire bordering. 

 

The iron cross is constructed from black ripped silk. Each arm bordered by wide silver tress. Four hand-stiched swastikas to all corners from black silk. Silver wire bordering. The flag is framed by tress and comes with its complete fringe to three sides. The left side was used to attach the standard to the pole. You can still see holes of the pins. There original bordering tress fastening that area is still part of this grouping. It shows the same pin holes. The original pins are actually still there.

 

Both sides are in good condition. Only a few really small rips. Staining. Two larger rips (6cm and 34cm) to the left side where the flag meets the pole. 

 

Size: 130cm + 145cm (including the extra material to attach to the pole).

 

Original bullion streamer "Fahnenbanderole" with tassels and original attached silver finished plaques showing the Heer eagle as well as "16. März 1935" and "16. März 1936". One to each side. Four in total. Height: 12,5cm. Length of the Banderole is approximately 200cm.

 

There is the brass bottom protection piece of the pole as well as the finial and the battalion ring with the unit engraved: "II./Inf.Rgt.59". Two stamps. 

The flag pole finial in nice condition. "CP" designers initials as well as stamped "BILDGIESSEREI" and maker marked: KRAAS BERLIN S42. Height: 27cm. Aluminum.
