Description
Honor Goblet with matching certificates to air gunner Unteroffizier Richard Hackethal serving with 4./LG 1.
 
Excellent goblet with stunning patina. Never cleaned. Engraved: UNTEROFFIZIER RICHARD HACKETHAL AM 5.6.1942". "FEINSILBER ALPAKA AUFLAGE" stamped to the bottom.
"Joh. Wagner & Sohn" maker marked. There must be a small dent to the bottom stand. You can't really see it but the goblet does not stand 100% correct. The dent is maybe 1-2mm.
Height: 21cm
 
You can see remain of some old white polishing paste. This can be cleaned off.
 
Period time framed certificate in nice condition. Issued on 5.6.1942. Facsimile signature of Hermann Göring. 
A paper tag of the frame maker to the reverse. Size: 22,5cm x 30,5cm.

According to the owner, Hackethal flew a lot of missions against England in 1940-41. Furthermore missions again Catania (Malta), North Africa and Greece. Killed in action on 12.3.1942 during an attack on Malta.
