Waffen-SS, period-framed portrait depicting an SS-soldier ('Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler' ie. 'LSSAH'). The fairly large-sized photo-portrait measures 23,5 x 17 cms. is period-mounted onto a piece of carton and is accordingly framed (in a wooden frame that measures 40,2 x 30,2 cms.). The portrait shows interesting details such as the side-cap ('Schiffchen') with attached 'BeVo'-woven insignia and 'pointed-styled-' (and 'LAH'-cyphered!) shoulder-straps being worn. Of additional interest is the fact that this example shows a pencilled date that reads: '1.X.1941'. The piece shows some dust but is void of any damage or alike.
