Extremely rare Soldbuch to Obergefreiter Brodowietz-Karlou. Photo not original applied! We still assume it is him. There would be no reason to re-apply a photo of a man wearing no uniform. Veteran very often needed paybooks postwar for insurance reason. He might have applied more recent photo.
Brodowietz-Karlou served with Grenadier-Regiment 669 and Grenadier-Regiment 832. He was awarded the War Merit Cross 2nd Class, Iron Cross 2nd Class, the Kuban Shield and the Aircraft Destruction Badge.
The entries do look like they were re-written with modern ink. The Kuban Shield and Aircraft Destruction Badge were stamped and are absolutely correct.
