Waffen-SS, M38-model (1st pattern), reversible camouflaged-smock ('Tarnhemd') as executed in the so-called: 'Palm'-camo-pattern (ie. 'Palmenmuster') as constructed from smooth-type, linen-based material.
The piece has been minimally used and/or worn and does show the signs of having been worn. The piece has still bright and vivid (darker-green) colours and was never cleaned nor washed.
It comes with its period (leather-based) closing-cord and has all its elastic straps in place (which are still flexible and functional).
The piece was with certainty used and worn (it does show some tiny and non-disturbing holes). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that it shows an interesting 'field-modification': the smock shows two (nicely fortified) 'holes' on its middle-back that were intended to accommodate the belt-hooks.
Simply a fantastic and very rare piece that will be hard to be upgraded!
