First pattern M38 Waffen-SS reversible camo smock. Palm tree camo printed smooth linen-based material.
An extremely rare piece in really nice condition!
Both flaps (intended to reach the tunic-pockets) are present . Both show a little repaired rip to the top position.
There is a line of stichting holes visible near the neck flap. Maybe the flap was not accurately attached in the factory at first place. Nothing was repaired here after the war.
The front is absolutely fine otherwise
Original closing-cord missing and replaced with a postwar one. A small button was added period time to close it.
There is a small hole to the reverse (shoulder) as well as minor signs of wear. There two "cuts" at the waist. Most probably, the soldier had his belt going through these holes. The cuts have been closed again.
Not shortened, untouched sleeves! Elastic straps to the waist and sleeves still working. Not too much function to the neck strap.
