Excellent document grouping to Gefreiten Heinz Bartels serving with Grenadier-Regiment 257, a part of the 83. Infanterie-Division. The Division was involved in the end of 1944 in the battles of Kurland (Courland). Please note that all awards have been awarded within just 7 months!

Certificate to Close Combat Clasp in silver for at least 30 days of close combat. Issued on 24.11.1944. Signed by Oberstleutnant Gerhard Staedtke (German Cross in gold winner).

Certificate to Close Combat Clasp in bronze. Issued on 16.9.1944. Signed by Oberst Constantin Meyer (Knight's Cross winner).

Certificate to 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class. Issued on 12.12.1944. Signed by Generalleutnant Wilhelm Heun (Knight's Cross winner).
