1927 Reichswehr lion's head sabre - etched

Description

The blade comes with an etching to three sides. Inscription "Seinem lieben Adjutanten Herrn Oberltn. B. Schmuch, Erinnerung an das Königsschießen in Laer 25. 26. u. 27. Juni 1927, Dr. Barkowski". "ALCOSO" maker marked. 

A lion's head to the top. Black grip with intact wire. Brass hilt fittings. Decorated. Black re-painted scabbard. No dents. The throat piece of the scabbard is loose, however, it can be easily plugged in again.

The sabre was a present of Dr. Barkowski to his Adjutanten Oberleutnant B. Schmuch.
