Description

Stunning M35 Heer double decal helmet which was certainly worn through many years of WWII. The helmet has the national decal period time removed after 1940 when the Wehrmacht stopped issuing double decal helmets. That happened a lot actually. The helmet comes with its original leather liner which is still very soft. The size should be 64. The chin strap is maker marked and 1940 dated. It could be a replaced strap in 1940 after the first one was broken for example. However, the chin strap looks to be absolutely matching to this helmet.

The shell is Q64 marked and named to the reverse. The name is painted with white paint. You can read "Ogefr. S...." only.

Fieldgrey color and eagle decal are about 85%. Light rust.

A stunning well worn helmet with a lot of character!
