Grouping to Unteroffizier Horst Hollstein. Hollstein joined Inf.Rgt.10 (Dresden) in 1937 and served with Inf.Rgt.174 during WW2. He was heavily wounded and therefore discharged in April 1945. A complete and untouched grouping which covers all period of his life up to his death as an old man.
Certificate to the Iron Cross 2nd Class. A very nice pattern which we never had before! Issued in Breslau on 20.11.1942. Certificate to the Infantry Assault Badge in silver, to the East Medal and to the Wound Badges in black and in silver.
All awards are noted in his Wehrpaß and are still part of the grouping. There is a very nice Iron Cross which is marked. Also one worn and one unworn Wound Badge in black with miniature. There is Richard Simm & Söhne East Medal in package with several ribbons. Furthermore a very nice visor cap eagle, a broken wreath and a nice cockade. His Wound Badge in silver (65 marked) in red case of issue (damaged). Finally, his parade buckle as well as his Infantry Assault Badge with miniature.
The Wehrpaß comes with a long list of his battles including the battle of Cholm. The grouping includes his FAD ID card. He served as a musician which is also mentioned in his Wehrpaß.
Two photo albums with roughly 265 pictures in total covering France and Russia. At least 50 private photos including pictures of post war times. The last pictures show him in his last years. The very last shows this grave.
