Heer M35 double decal helmet with period time "zimmerit" camo paint. The helmet was published in a book on Wehrmacht helmets. Please see last picture for two pages of the book showing exactly this helmet.
Early M35 double decal helmet with bits of the early green paint left to the shell. It was once issued with two decals. During the war the helmet was overpainted with textured fieldgrey paint. Another eagle decal was attached over the paint. The decal is still about 90%.
The helmet is size 58 size stamped and is still flexible and soft. It comes with its original cord. The liner is originally attached to the shell. The prongs were not opened. The shell is SE66 marked.
Matching chin strap from soft leather. Possibly maker marked and definitely dated but barely readable. You can clearly read the date "193 "
Overall a very nice and rare helmet in good condition 2.
