A very interesting German M35 helmet which was published in "Combat Helmets of the World/Elmetti de combattimento di tutto il mondo" by Paolo Marzetti.

This helmet was issued in 1939 to the German Heer with one of two decals. In any event the right side had a swastika decal attached like the German police very soon so this helmet was worn with an eagle decal and a swastika decal for some time.
Later, a helmet decal of the city of Wien was attached above the swastika decal for service with the local police.

Paint: Original "apple green" factory paint. Nearly 100% still present. Minor signs of wear.

Decals: The eagle decal is about580%. It must have been covered once. The city of Wien decal is about 80%. You can see the swastika decal underneath. 

Lining: Flexible leather lining. Still soft. A replaced leather cord attached. 57 size stamped.
The prongs were opened once. 

Chin strap: Soft leather. Parts of the maker's mark visible. Slightly shortened. 

Markings: Q64

Dome stamped "Abgenommen".. "1939".
