Period time Panzergrenadier officers visor cap. Extremely rare cap.
Clemens Wagner Braunschweig 1938 maker marked and dated to the sweat-band. Nicely EREL "Sonderklasse" EXTRA maker marked to the silk lining. "Offizier Kleiderkasse Berlin". No cracks to the celluloid diamond. A size 55,5 paper tag.
A rather latewar visor and latewar zinc insignia. The Panzergrenadier branch with "wiesengrün" piping did not exist in 1938 so the sweat-band must be a leftover from pre war which was used by the tailor.
Slightly moth damaged. Some moth holes were repaired by a collector. Taped chin strap. Repaired piping.
Correct light green piping. No ex-Infantry white piping which was dyed even if it might look like on the pictures.
