Extremely rare portrait photo of later Schutzhaftlagerführer of KZ Mauthausen Georg Bachmayer.
Postwar writing to the reverse made us starting researching him. Comparing this photograph with a period time one published by the Bundesarchiv, there is no question it is Georg Bachmayer in his early days as an Allgemeine-SS man.
Bachmayer was known to be extremely cruel. He committed suicide after killing his family on 8.5.1945
