Description
Rare certificate grouping to Sanitäts-Obergefreiter Kraus who served during the 1944 Warshaw uprising where he was awarded the 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class. His unit was one of the Heer units involved in the battles.
 
Iron Cross 1st Class certificate issued on 6.10.1944 to Sanitäts-Obergefreiter Kraus serving with Grenadier-Bataillon Benthin named after Oberleutnant Kurt Benthin (Knight's Cross recipient). Original ink signature of SS-Gruppenführer Heinz Reinefarth (Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves). "Kampfgruppe Reinefahrth stamped. Folded once.
 
Certificate to the Infantry Assault Badge in silver, the Wound Badge in silver and the Iron Cross 2nd Class. All document were issued from 1941  until 1943 when Kraus was serving with Inf.Rgt.24. He was injured three times.
