Wehrmacht Heer black-coloured, officers'-pattern side-cap (ie. 'Schiffchen für Offiziere') as was intended for usage by the commisioned- ie. officer-staff serving within the 'Panzer-Truppen'.
The piece is executed in (typical) smooth-type and/or black-coloured wool and shows a darker-silverish-grey-coloured (and linnen-based, 'silk-like'-type-) lining installed. The side-cap is totally void of any size- nor makers'-designation (something that is not unusual).
The cap shows a hand-embroidered- and silver-coloured, officers'-pattern cap-eagle mounted on a black-coloured and equally hand-embroidered-type officers'-pattern cocarde in place (which are both attached by hand-stitching).
The side-cap - which is a rarely seen piece! - comes in an overall very nice condition and shows only minimal age and/or wear. It is approximately 57 cms. sized and will with certainty fit a mannequins'-head.
