Heer field tunic for officers

Description

Untouched uniform grouping to Oberleutnant H. Henne serving with Jäger-Regiment 56. Please see other items at auction to Henne.

-

Nicely worn privately purchased "South Front" summer field tunic as worn in Italy, Greece or France. Slightly sun-bleached which nicely proofs it saw service in the field. A rare Jäger tunic.

100% originally attached insignia. A fine officer's machine-woven breast eagle on dark green backing was attached by hand. Machine-attached officer's collar tabs. Hand-attached shoulder boards to sew-in for an Oberleutnant.

Machine-woven "Jäger" sleeve badge attached by hand.

All buttons complete and originally attached. Loops for two awards. One award was attached by three loops. A small repair to this breast pocket.

Silk lining to the chest area. Room for a dagger hanger to come through the left lower pocket.

Minor moth damage to the collar tabs only. A few bites to the left shoulder boards. No mothing to the collar or tunic.

Medium size.
