The dagger comes with an etched blade on both sides. It features nice naval motifs and ornaments as well as the maker's mark of E.&F. Hörster, Solingen. Light staining on both sides.
An orange handle with wire wrapping. It has a few fine stress cracks and two scratches. However no chipping. Brass handle fittings. Comes with the original officer's portepee. Hammered brass scabbard without dents. Remnants of the original gilding are present. Overall matching patina.
