Heer bayonet KS 98 to Georg Diehl serving with Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 100.
The bayonet comes with a beautifully etched blade. It shows the inscription "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit", flanked by an eagle and a helmet with crossed rifles. "Carl Eickhorn" maker marked.
Black Bakelite handle scales. No chipping. Original black-finished steel scabbard. It has two small dents. Comes with the original leather frog and bayonet knot. "Diehl" is named on the back of the frog. On the bayonet is a fabric tag with the name of the recipient and his unit. A nice set!
