Wehrmacht, standard-issue pattern canteen ('Feldflasche'). The piece comes complete with its woolen-based cover, steel-based 'musketon'-hook and leather-based carrying-straps. The aluminium-based bottle is stamped: 'WAL 41' (the cover is also equally marked on the inside) and the ('Bakelite'-based-) screw-on top shows a tiny makers'-designation as to be expected. The piece came complete with its ('Bakelite'-based-) cup and shows some wear and age: the (pebbled-style-) leather is fully functional and souple but shows moderate wear and usage.
