Heer visor cap first pattern (crusher cap)

Description

A very nice "old style" visor cap for an officer but with vulcan fibre shield. Collector's call this type of cap a "crusher cap".

Piping: white, infantery
Insignia: Machine-woven officer's cap eagle and wreath badge. Very early brown style around 35/36. Definitly period time attached, the eagle by hand - the wreath badge by machine.

Sweat-band: light grey, clear signs of wearing with several damages and cracks.
Lining: Fine gold silk lining with nearly intact celluloid diamond, only a small damage on the upper side. Signs of wear. Some stains.
Visor: vulcan fibre with a small stain on the right side.

Markings: "Stirndruckfrei Deutsches Reichspatent" on the celluid diamond.

A nicely worn cap in good shape. Some moth holes.

No usual cap, but period and tailor made original for an officer, who wanted to get an "old style" cap in later period.
