A very early Heer infantry visor cap issued in 1937. The cap is dated and "Th. & H. Bogon Berlin" maker marked. It is furthermore unit marked 12./I.R.9 (II.Btl.).
The cap was issued as a EM/NCO one and comes with originally attached matching aluminum insignia. Later, it was converted into an officer's cap by adding an officer's chin strap and buttons.
Classic orange collar water-resistant lining with a celluloid diamond. Large size "55" stamp.
