Well worn SS helmet issued with both decals. Most probably a SS-VT helmet which was later worn as a black Allgemeine-SS helmet. You can see fieldgrey paint around the decals indicating it was issued as a fieldgrey helmet. There could even be a second layer of decals underneath the visible decals.
Black paint covering around 80% of the shell. Some rust. Clear signs of wear and age. The shell was damaged by a shrapnel just behind the SS decal. It has also damaged the inner ring.
The helmet rivets were opened once. Most probably to remove the liner when painting the helmet black period time.
The liner is still flexible and soft. The cord was replaced. Size 58.
Maker marked and 1936 (?) dated chin strap. Rips. Soft.
Q66 marked to the shell. Both decals show clear signs of wear and are around 55%.
