Heer coat for Generals

Description

A high-quality heavy General's coat owned by Generalleutnant Ernst von Poten (1888 - 1981). Von Poten served as commander of "Garnison Metz" from July 1943 until 1944. He finished his service time on 31.12.1944 and retired.

Hand-stitched "von Poten" named to the inner pocket.

A fine piece with a wonderful high-quality silk lining.

Textbook inner lapel finished with red cloth. Excellent sewn-in shoulder boards for a Generalmajor.

Complete and period time attached gilt buttons. All are from the same style and maker. Nice patina.

Some minor moth damage. Rare.
