Heer field tunic for Generals


Description

A very fine privately purchased four-pocket tunic of an unknown General and Knight's Cross recipient. Tailored from field-grey Italian gabardine around 1944. Mostly certainly only worn for a few weeks time. Excellent condition with only minor signs of wear.

A classic design worn by Generals with red piping along the cuffs and the collar. Red vertical piping along the button line.

Buttons: Gilt. S&C maker marked as well as RZM marked. Complete and period time attached. 
Breast eagle: Gold bullion hand-embroidered type for Generals. Green backing. Attached by hand period time. 
Collar tabs: Excellent quality examples period time attached by machine. 
Shoulder boards. Excellent condition. Generalleutnant. To slip-on. 

Several loops for a ribbon bar as well as three awards. Period time applied and with signs of minor wear. 
Small buttons from pressed cardboard to the reverse of the collar to attached his Knight's Cross.

Fine silk lining. No name tag. Including a hanger clip. 

No moth damage. Excellent condition 1.
