A privately purchased officer's field tunic worn by a Leutnant serving with Infanterie-Regiment 2. A rather early style with inner lower pockets.
Breast eagle: hand-embroidered officer's pattern. Re-attached by hand.
Collar tabs: White piped officer's tabs. Period time attached by machine
Shoulder boards: Red. Sewn-in. Early gilt "2" to each board.
Lining. Fine silk. Clear signs of wear and age.
Name tag / tailor's tag: none
Buttons: Complete. Original attached.
