A black Heer Panzer "Feldjacke" (field jacket) which collectors call a "wrapper". A rare 1st pattern jacket made in 1938. Worn by an Oberleutnant of division "Großdeutschland". 

Collar tabs: pink cotton piping. Early aluminum skulls. Both tabs are matching in condition but are period time attached by machine. 
Shoulder boards: pink piped Oberleutnant slip-on boards with gilt "GD" ciphers. All prongs in place. Smaller should board loops were added to wrapper to fit the boards. 
Breast eagle: Machine-woven. EM/NCO type. Early white-black type period time attached by hand.

Großdeutschland officer's cuffband attached by hand. Quite a bit of dust when you turn the top around.

Buttons: all buttons complete
Lining: brownish cotton
Markings: size markings. "M38" depot marked. Maker marked,

Excellent condition! No moth damage! 

The wrapper was slightly sewn tighter period time. The soldier must have preferred a more slim and more elgant look. You can see one seam to search side which was opened and closely again after 1cm. When doing that the cotton belt hook straps as well as the horizontal fastening straps needed to be taken off and were not added again. 

Excellent trousers with white cotton lining. "F40" depot marked, size stamped and maker marked. No moth damage! One small repaired hole. Leg straps and belt in place. All buttons period time attached. Length: 114cm. Waist: 95cm.
