Waffen-SS field tunic EM/NCO

Description

Extremely rare privately purchased field tunic for an SS-Oberscharführer serving as a Stabsscharführer (so-called "Spieß"). He served with an infantry unit attached to the Totenkopf-Verbände.

The tunic comes with its collar tress applied by machine. Interestingly, the hand-attached collar tabs were fitted to the collar to the bottom part of changed. The skull tab is a rare hand-embroidered officer's pattern.

Slip-on boards for an infantry SS-Oberscharführer.

RZM type of sleeve eagle. Machine-embroidered. Attached by machine. Machine-attached "Spieß" tress rings to the cuffs.
Some award loops and an Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon.

Cotton lining in nice condition. Room for a dagger or sabre to be attached through the lower pocket.
Complete buttons.

Only a few really small moth bites. This tunic shows only little wear.

Period time attached insignia.

Including the breeches of the same man with clear moth damage.
