Rare WWI bayonet KS98 with sawback blade. Made by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie.
The blade features the etched dedication "Laßt rings die Welt voll Teufel sein, Deutsch Eisen holt den Sieg herein". Furthermore "D.O.V." etched on the back of the blade. "WKC" maker marked. Black bakelite grip plates, correctly attached with three rivets. No damage. The handle fittings were painted black and show the regimental emblem (engraved) of the recipient on the front. Original black painted steel scabbard. Probably a small area on the back was repainted. No dents. With the black leather frog.
