Kaiserliche Marine officer's dagger

Description

Kaiserliche Marine officer's dagger to Admiral Max Rollmann serving as Governor of Kiautschou, China (from 27.01.1901 to 08.06.1901). He was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle 2nd Class and the Prussian Order of the Crown 1st Class.

The dagger comes with an etched blade on both sides showing naval motifs and the inscription "Festen Muht in Sturm und Gefahr". Stains on both sides.

A white handle that has probably been replaced. Missing wrapping. Brass handle fittings. Numbered "94" on the bottom of the crossguard. Also the letter "R" (for Rollmann) on the crossguard. A so-called "lightning" scabbard. Made of brass. It shows his engraved name "Rollmann" on the top. One screw is missing and has slight dents on the lower area.

Signs of use.
