Saxony M1805 infantry officer's sword


Description

Made by Clemen & Jung, Solingen. Maker marked to the blade. Furthermore the etched inscription "Eisenhauer garantiert" (quality hallmark) and the monogram of Friedrich August III. Stained. 

A real ray skin finished grip with wire wrapping. Brass hilt fittings. Most of the gilding is worn off. The folding crossguard bears the Saxon coat of arms. A black re-painted steel scabbard. It has 3-4 small dents. The throat is missing. 

Length: 93 cm.
