A privately purchased leather helmet with tombak fittings and both visors with reinforcement bars. Around 1890.
Spike plate with round ball as worn by artillery troops. Flat chinscales attached to rosettes. Iron screws. Prussian "Land" cockade missing. "Reich" cockade not missing since it not established before 1897.
Privately purchased leather lining. Barely readable markings to the rear visor.
Untouched original example with signs of age and wear. Rest of the original gilding in place.
