The Firefighter Merit Badge was awarded between 1934 and 1936 after being issued by the Prussian Ministry of Interior Affairs on December 21, 1933. The recipient had to be a member of a Prussian Fire Brigade for 25 years but was awarded to none-firemen if they contributed to the organization and build out of the fire brigades.
The reverse is marked: “Preuss. Staatsmünze” and “Silber 900 Fein”. The design was done the sculptor Roth in Munich.
