M1909 "Ulanka" (Bavaria)

Description

Extremely rare M1909 field tunic for a Bavarian Ulan serving with 2. Ulanenregiments "König"  from Ansbach. 1916 depot marked "B.A.II" as well as "2.U.R." unit marked. Cotton lining.

Absolutely textbook tunic with correct "karmesin" red piping. Originally attached and complete buttons. Shoulder boards with machine-embroidered "2". Collar protection band attached. Marked by a maker based in Wunsiedel. The small hooks to the collar are missing. The closure loop are in place.

A nearly unworn field tunic, a so-called "Ulanka". Some minor moth damage as well two large moth holes near the shoulder boards.  Extremely hard to find!

Photographed on a medium size bust.
