M1915 tunic (piece pattern)

Description

Purchased from a family member and found in the family estate in April 2022. Untouched fieldgrey M1915 (piece pattern) uniform grouping to Hauptmann Freiherr von Soden. Tailored by Zöltsch (Königl. Bayer. Hoflieferant) from Munich and delivered on 29.9.1915. A period time attached name tag to the inside pocket of the tunic.

Freiherr von Soden served with Königlich Bayerisches 1. Feldartillerie-Regiment „Prinzregent Luitpold“. The tunic therefore comes with sewn-in red piped shoulder boards for a Hauptmann with gilt crown and cipher "PR L". Fine blue threads to the boards which stands for Bavaria.

Typical black velvet collar and cuffs. Red piping. All buttons complete and originally attached. Fine silk lining.

A few really small moth bites here and there which you can see at first. Condition 1-

Matching straight dark blue trousers with red piping. Silk lining. A "Schwarz & Sohn" tailor's label. No moth holes at all. Fantastic condition.

The tunic fits on our medium size bust. Trousers: waist: 74cm. Length: 108cm.

A very rare and untouched uniform grouping!
