Rare early MP38u40 six-cell pouch in rayon web construction coming with its original leather carrying strap. Featuring early olive green web rayon construction and retaining its original leather closure and retaining straps. All stitching present with the slightest of wear. Of interesting note is the black colored thread used to sew the straps. The back belt loops present, secure and properly marked with the maker, year, and Waffenamt « eyp41 ». The original blackened leather carrying strap comes with the pouch, in very good supple condition. This type of pouch was used by the armored crew members and also well used by the paratroopers « Fallschirmjäger ». Highly desirable early pouch.
