An excellent hand-carved wooden sign showing the squadron emblem of the 1. Gruppe/Jagdgeschwader 134. On the upper edge is the inscription "Wiener Jagdgruppe". No chipping. Original finish.

The emblem was first used by the 1. Gruppe/Jagdgeschwader 134 and was then adopted by the 1. Gruppe/Jagdgeschwader 76. Renamed 2. Gruppe/Jagdgeschwader 54 on 5. July 1940.

Oberst Hrabak Dietrich was a flying ace during WWII. He claimed 125 enemy aircraft shot down in over 1000 combat missions. Awarded the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves.
