Description

Imperial hunting dagger "Hirschfänger". Around 1900.

Excellent blade with gold-plated etchings on a blued background on both sides. "R. Kirschbaum Solingen" maker marked.

Round handle made of genuine horn with three acorns on the front. The crossguard depicts the head of a deer and a stag. A wild boar with two hunting dogs is depicted on the guard. The fittings are made of brass. 

Black leather scabbard with brass fittings. The leather was replaced in modern times. Comes with a Wehrmacht NCO's bayonet knot and a matching leather frog. The fastening strap is broken.
