Saxony M1867 infantry officer's sword


Description

Made by Clemen & Jung, Solingen. Maker marked to the blade. Furthermore the etched inscription "Eisenhauer garantiert" (quality hallmark) and the monogram of Friedrich August III.

A real ray skin finished grip with wire wrapping. The wire is slightly loose. Gilt brass hilt fittings. The crossguard bears the Saxon coat of arms. A black re-painted steel scabbard. It has some dents and three holes. The lettering to the top of the scabbard is very hard to read. Please see the pictures!
