Prussia medal bar with Royal House Order of Hohenzollern

Description

Unusual medal bar of a Prussian reserve officer with five awards, without (!) Iron Cross 2nd class.
In the first place a Prussian Royal House Order of Hohenzollern, Knight's Cross with Swords, gilded silver, maker's mark "W" for "Hofjuweliere Wagner in Berlin" and "938" for the silver content. Very nice, typical World War 1 specimen with old patina. SEcond the so called Hindenburg Cross, followed by a Prussian Landwehr Service Medal, 2nd Class, and last the War Commemorative Coins of Bulgaria and Hungary for WW1. The awards sewn to clean original ribbons, covered on the reverse with dark cloth. Pin system intact.
The wearer has almost certainly also been a holder of the 2nd and 1st Class Iron Crosses. The fact that the 2nd Class Iron Cross is not on the bar may be explained by the wearer's preference to wear his 2nd Class Iron Cross on a section of ribbon in his buttonhole. This was common practice during that time.
Very nice and attractive bar in great condition.
