Description

This medal bar consists of the Prussian Iron Cross second class, 1914, with Iron Core and silver frame, Red Eagle Order 4th Class in Silver with enameled center and maker mark “R” on the crosses cylinder, Long Service Cross for Officers in bronze gilded, Baden, Order of the Zaehringer Lion Knight’s Cross 2nd Class with swords in silver and gilded silver with green glass arms , Saxe-Meiningen, War Merit Cross, the Oldenburg Friedrich-August Cross 2nd Class in blackened iron with the bar “Vor dem Feinde”, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Friedrich-Frank III. Commemorative Medal and Bulgaria, Civil Merit Order IV Class with rosette attached to bar, tye 1908-1944. The bar is terminated on the revers with dark blue felt and full needle system.

The bar is attributable in slightly different configuration to Hermann Ueberschaer, geb. 11.07.1861, Oberzollinspektor und Regierungrat u.a. in Eydtkuhnen und Hannover, Major der Reserve a.D., u.a. im Landwehr-InfRgt 73.
