Superb M1935 Luftwaffe double decal combat helmet with period applied bailing wire. The helmet is an « Q66 » with a lot number of « 4313 ». The helmet's exterior features a very nice early coat of semi-matte deeper hue blue. It shows some light storage use with only a handful of scuffs and scraps but in excellent condition. Period applied bailing wire is nicely hand applied and secured in four locations on the interior. Both eagle and tricolor decals are present and rate in at well over 95%. The helmet's interior is in excellent condition. Leather liner is supple and in very good shape still retaining its natural color. Complete with ink stamped marking for size along one of the tongues « 59 ». Drawstring original also to the liner. Ink stamped along the dome but unreadable. Retains its early unmarked leather chinstrap with aluminum buckle. Overall a very high condition early Luftwaffe helmet with all the right attributes. Choice example and one if not the best seen in this category!
