This is a unique and beautiful set including a M42 Heer helmet and a gas mask canister in matching three-tone brush camouflage. The helmet is an « ckl64 » with a lot number of « 3?50 ». The helmet's exterior features a desirable hand brush painted splotch camouflage scheme in the classic three-tone colors. Nice light combat used and wear present. This includes some scuffs, scraps and chips to the paint that is covering over 97% of the surface. The brush strokes are clearly visible all over. Split pins intact and secured to the helmet while retaining also their camouflage finish. The Heer decal is present under the camouflage finish. The helmet's interior matches the exterior. The liner is complete and in very good condition, the leather is supple, retaining its original drawstring.  The soldier’s name is written on the leather. Original late-war leather chinstrap is nicely marked with the « RBNr ». The dome acceptance stamp is present and fully readable. The gas mask canister is retaining the exact same camouflage pattern as the helmet. The canister shows a light amount of chips, nicks and scrapes nicely all over. It retains over 95% of its original brush camouflage finish. The canister is complete with gas mask, accessories and retains its original carrying straps.
