Grand Duke Carl Alexander of Sax-Weimar created the Golden Jubilee Medal to the golden Wedding Anniversary on October 8, 1892, as a memento for all participating guests and staff. The medal was awarded in gold, silver and bronze. A total of 772 medals were coined. There are in-official larger medals table medals known. Only 25 real golden medals were coined for royalty.
