A German M35 helmet. The type of helmet issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polizei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Waffen-SS.
Paint: Original factory paint. Nearly 95% still present. The shell was overpainted with zapon varnish decades ago. To the inside of the shell, you can still see the untouched dull varnish from the factory. It is also dome stamped.
Decals:
The rune decal is about 95%.
The swastika decal is about 95%
Both decals slightly changed their color and structure due to the clear coat.
Lining: Flexible leather lining. Still soft. Original cord. 57 size stamped.
The liner was most probably changed once.
Chin strap: Soft leather. Rb-numbered. A later strap was added to this helmet.
