Description

Uniform grouping to an unknown infantry Oberstleutnant serving with Infanterie-Regiment 86.

Heer officer's visor cap with embroidered wreath badge and a zinc cap eagle. "Sonderklasse" marked intact celluloid diamond to the gold color silk lining. Sweat-band with stains and signs of wear and most of seem opened. Minor moth bites. Size 57.

Early "Gesellschaftsrock" tunic with period time applied insignia. Machine-attached collar tabs along with sewn-in Oberstleutnant shoulder boards. Matching patina to all white insignia!

Machine-woven officer's breast eagle. A little later than the tunic but certainly period time attached. Three pair of loops for three awards (one loop missing).  Two loops holding a nice 5-place ribbon bar identifying this officer as a WW1 Iron Cross winner and long term service officer. In fact, you can see rests of a removed 1914 Iron Cross ribbon to a button hole.

Complete and originally attached butons. Fine silk lining.

Minor moth bites. Medium size.
